From the Langdale site

NEW 'NO OFF-ROAD VEHICLES' SIGNS ON DALBY DRIVE

Due to an increasing problem with un-authorised use of Off-road vehicles new signs have been erected at numerous locations around the forests including at the entrance of the Dalby Forest Drive.

The aim of these signs is to inform visitors not to use their vehicles in areas of the forest that access rights do not exist. Unfortunately, the signs at first glance read that NO OFF-ROAD VEHICLES ALLOWED  - implying that Quads, motorcycles & any other vehicle capable of going off-road can't use the Dalby Forest Drive?

We are still awaiting clarification as to which classes of vehicles are now BANNED from using the Dalby Forest Drive - as soon as this information is supplied we will post it on our home page.

If you would like to contact the Forestry Commission directly to check if your vehicle is acceptable to travel along the Forest Drive as a route to the Langdale Quest 4x4 driving site then you can call them on 01751 472771 .

Please also note that  ALL vehicular rights of way in the area are unaffected by this new Forestry Commission policy.

Moorland Adventure Sport fully supports the Forestry Commission in their Quest to prevent illegal use of their land - all illegal vehicles will be handed over to the local Police. Don't be daft - There is no need for illegal access - we have both dedicated sites like Langdale Quest for our recreation & 130 miles of un-surfaced vehicular rights of way in this area alone.

BE AWARE: If you get caught you could lose your vehicle.
