Hi All
Its me again I think Iv found another Big horn I might like to buy I have also been looking on this site at the work shop manuals I want to buy one there are two one for the mark 1 & one for the mark 2 the trooper Im kooking at is on an N plate & soposed to be a 1996 acording to this site the change over between the MK 1 & MK2 were about this time. How do I tell the difference just by looking at the vehicle what MK it is so that I know Im buying the right manual. Any help would be appreciated.

I could be wrong but if memory serves it's something like:

up to 1992 - Mk1  Squarer body shape.
1992 - 1995 - Mk2  3.1TD engine with mechanical fuel pump
1995 - 1998 - Mk3 Same shape as Mk2 but 3.1TD engine has EFi and dashboard revised. Later models had 3.0TD fitted.
1998 on - Mk4 - Revised more modern looking body styling.

I'm sure if I got it wrong someone will correct me, but it can't be far off for a guideline.

Mine has neither.

ABS would be nice but airbags are an evil invention.

Ban airbags - replace them with a surgical steel spike and then watch how carefully everyone would drive!
