|
|
Hello All, I have finaly decided to trade in my faithfull old 3.2V6 trooper for nice new, err.. secondhand one.
The ideal spec would be a LWB 3.0DT Auto Citation/Insignia, I don't want an import mainly because of the recall issues. So how do you spot an imported 3.0D, I know UK ones should have rear bumper lights etc.. but there seem to some Cyprus imported ones with these as well. Also was an Auto an option on UK diesels? I haven't seen any early ones and most of the later ones seem to be imports.
Anybody got a good UK auto diesel? |

Not 100%, but most imports I have seen (including mine all tho a 3.1) has Japanese writing on the bulkhead and when you flip down the sunviser I suppose they'll be called a "Bighorn" too
as for the Cyprus ones
Other than that get the VIN number and Phone IM. _________________

Yes, phone IM with the VIN number to be sure.......
I don't know if UK spec 3.0 autos do exist - I hope so because that'd be my ideal replacement for my current 3.0 Citation: all that stick-stirring is the only thing I find tedious about it! |

I've done a bit of digging it seems diesel autos were a UK option, but I haven't seen any advertised pre 2001. I was just hoping there was a quick way of spotting imports from the adverts, no rear bumper lights being the give away. However it seems grey Cyprus imports have bumper lights and are called Troopers so not easy to tell from photos in ads alone.
Was the Insignia a UK spec? I thought they were the imports? |

The problem is Cyprus gets the UK spec troopers, its best to be armed with a mobile and the number for IM, if the car dealer refuses to let you check the VIN then walk away _________________ |

i thought the insignia was the top uk spec car (after a discussion with Mr T on the matter) but extremely rare. _________________
