Is there? Ok, the 3.0 has well documented problems, but by and large the rest are solid and reliable. You have to remember this is a dedicated Trooper site and many of the vehicles are older and some of the used quite hard, so wear and tear is going to be an issue. I think they are pretty bomb proof if maintained, it just depends on what it's done in a previous life. Judging by the amount I saw towing on the way back from Scotland they are pretty popular still.

Also worth noting.... guys generally dont post to say "my troper has just done the last 50,000 miles without trouble"

Well I have to admit as a newbie to the boards and with virtually no mechanical knowledge whatsoever, I only ever post when I have an issue with my trooper, which so far was a problem with the indicators blowing fuses (now sorted hopefully!) and a recall notice for some work on the heater.....

2 very small things out of 12 months ownership, none of which have stopped me from driving her.
Infact my trooper so far has been very reliable and has not had a single day off the road with a mechanical problem.... and it has just flown through an MOT so I am more than happy.
For the record  it is a 1994 3.1 citation and has done 107000 miles!

When it comes time to retire this trooper I will definitely be looking at a newer model, and Yes I will post here for advice first!!
