Yup, I'm horsey!! Its how I came about owning a trooper, to tow a horsebox with!

I've got a 16.2hh Ex track TB, and love him to pieces  Embarassed Currently doing dressage with him, but am a big endurance fan, I've crewed endurance from grass roots to world level, went with the British team to WEG 2006, Aachen which was totally life changing for me! I'm well known and if a certain endurance equipment supplier is present, I'm not usually far away!

Just found this post, my missus must be one of Steve's best customers - it's hell keeping her of the PE web site Laughing  Must admit though She's now starting to admit that she doesn't need anything (doesn't stop her looking though!) Laughing

my hubby says we are lit up better than a xmas tree,  gypsy has a hi viz martingale strap, a hi vis bit to go over noseband, a hi viz excersise sheet and hi vis leg bands for her hinds, and i wear a full lenght hi viz coat, however that still doesnt stop the odd idiot trying to ram us into the nearest ditch, but yes i do agree with you johnathon hi viz is deffo the way to go.

The loss of a horse on the roads down to lack of visibility is too high a price to pay and too expensive against the hi cost of the luminous stuff

Talking of hi vis, orange has been proved to be more visible at distance than yellow, hence railway workers wearing it.

maybe worth thinking about if replacing any bits

Today I was following a horse slowly as it wasn't safe to pass, I could see a car approaching fast in my mirrors so applied my brake which didn't seem to slow him much and then he started flashing his lights at me like I was the one in the wrong, seems he failed to see someone in bright hi viz jacket on top of quite a tall horse, hope he felt like a prat when he realised.

Just flicking through Forums and came across this one.

My Lad is a 16.3hh TB x Dutch warm blood. He was a Grade B show jumper when I brought him 7yrs ago. We Still Show jump but also do alot of hunter trials and events, although he is a little hot headed for dressage!!!!

The image below is of a Jump that was 3'9" from memory and we still have plenty of clearence!!!!!

jonathan63 - Always make sure I am visible when out hacking as there are plenty of numpties out there with no respect for horses on the road.

I am waiting for "the call" from the missus of blubbing.
I too found the "Trooper Ownership light" as buying a tool to pull a horsebox.

Quest, :

http://www.shgphotographic.co.uk/UPSALLHT130409/Upsall%20HT%2013%20April%2009%20Class%204B%20%20novice%20over%2017/slides/NZ6K1254.html

would appear to be up for sale and having his first prospective buyer look him over today, and I think they are going to take him

I am expecting to hear the tears by about 2pm !

Something a little younger, and a little bigger is SWMBO is shopping list, but aaaaw bless him, even I am quite taken by the lad.

he is an honest Gem. Does it all for her, and very endeering.

For someone who doesn't like horses thats saying something.
She has had him for 5 years and brought him on loads. ODE this year mainly.

He's not getting younger apparently and she wants a new project horse, again apparently.....

boy is she gonna cry tho !
