I'm on the verge of purchasing a safari snorkel for my Mk4

So this issue has been resolved then ?

The issue is the slightly dodgy looking one way valve in the bottom of the air filter housing. I don't think anyone has solved it yet (if it even needs solving)

Blocking it off altogether may be a bad idea as it lets rain water out that may come down the snorkel.

I have on the other hand never herd of the valve failing....

Just out of interest how much is the snorkel costing you and where from, this is the one mod I'm seriously considering atm.

Hi mate,

I'm going to be forking out 295 big ones from TBRUK who I rang earlier and reckoned that they could get one in (takes about a week) and then I can just pay for it over the phone.

The guy on the other end said that the TBRUK website doesn't list the snorkel for the Mk4 but they can get one anyway, the code I was quoted was part number 250-HF

Hope this helps !
