Hi people, I'm going to tackle my first engine service this weekend and was wondering if there are any tips and tricks that I might find usefull.
I have got the filters from Milners and noticed that the drain plug is missing from the bottom of the fuel filter. Is this normal to have to transfer the old one over? |

Yup the water trap and drain plug part have to be swapped over. _________________ Every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff from out of my brain.

Is it safe to use an engine flush, I normally get one from Partco for my other car? |

Umm, thinks to himself! Every thing not to bad on the Trooper, you may want to fill the filter with fuel( some people use injector cleaner) to help with the bleeding process, though mine has never been a problem. Some people seem to struggle with oil filter, I use a wrench that goes over the end, which works fine, I also partially fill the oil filter with fresh oil too, so it pumps up quicker. The cross member is good at catching oil when draining, and ends up going every where if your not careful, again some people have removed this I believe. _________________ Every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff from out of my brain.

Differing opinions on this one, some believe it could disturb more dormant rubbish into vital areas. _________________ Every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff from out of my brain.

Yes probably, mine didn't seem too need much, the manual pump is right on top the filter. _________________ Every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff from out of my brain.
