I uesd a breaker bar with the truck on the floor. I let the sway bar alone to but if you do this make sure you stamp on the brakes a couple of times inbetween ajustments to get an acurate reading.

Right - Have one Mk1 LWB frontera winch bumper nicely sitting on a LWB MK2 trooper.

Modifications needed :-

The arms for connecting to the chassis - About 2mm (!!!) to narrow on the bumper -one slug on each side with a sledge hammer, and fit like a glove.

The wiper motors for the headlights catch - cut a 2" square slot for them on the top of the bumper.

There's a 12V ECU for something behind the original bumper, undid the bracket, turned round, and now is well out of the way

Locating holes needed elongating with a file on the bumper - took about 3 - 4 minutes per hole.

Have a winch bumper SmileSmileVery HappyVery Happy

I assume that bull bars, A bars, (potentially side steps with a little drilling) from a LWB MK1 frontera will nearly bolt straight on a MK2 (possibly MK3/4???) trooper, from my experience it'll work, but don't quote me on ouwt !!!

Very Happy

Watching fleabay at the momement, thinking along the lines of 6000 - 10000lb winch, not one of the Chinese import ones though.

One sand and a lick of paint later....

Just need to have  guard fabricated from the bottom of the bumper to the top of the skid plate.
