I saw that too, they did it as a publicity stunt, must have been done at about 40mph!
I have a TF 4 sport, the one before the Rodeo, and it does better than a Hilux, just got 30.4 mpg using it for work, with aircon on at times (more like 25 for Hilux). The new direct injection engine in the Rodeo is supposed to be a lot more economical to run. I think you can trust the mpg figures given, 40-45mpg but I bet it drinks like a fish over 75mph! |

I average 34mpg just running around in my 3.0l Denver. On a touring run at about 50mph I get just over 40mpg. I tow a 1500 kg caravan and get a minimum of 24mpg.On a towing trip back from Fort William last year at high temps with aircon on doing about 50mph I did the 350 miles at an average of 28mpg. I have always got a little more than the car specs on all my vehicles the secret is a light right foot |

Just got 23 mpg from a Mitsubishi Warrior, unloaded on a motorway run. 8mpg less than my truck, which I want back as soon as possible! It is being repaired after a moron drove into me when stopped. I wonder if I can claim back 25% of my fuel costs as well! |
