I have a 93 Bighorn 3.1 td, just recently MOT and new battery having great problems starting.  When I put the key in the ignition the lights on the dash are really bright wait to they go out turn the key absolutely nothing not a kick.  Any one any idea what the problem could be.  Seriously thinking of trading in for more reliable car. only problem is I love it. Wish I had been a mechanic now, girls can be mechanics cant they.

Any help appreciated

Sounds like an immobiliser preventing any starting, is one fitted?
