That is a big body lift and will make it quite top heavy.
What size tyres are you thinking of? do you need a 3" lift on top of the suspension lift?
So many questions.... |

Some food for thought there though, some nice looking kit. _________________ Every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff from out of my brain.

I've got 265/75r16 bfg mud terains at the moment. On full articulation the tyres rub on the arches, i would like some 33s or maybe a little bigger. i'm trying to keep up with 4x4s with easyly lifted live axels and big wheels (33s and 35s).
being top heavy is an issue, but most of the weight (heavy diesel engine, gear box and chassis) is staying staying in the same place so i'm hoping it is not going to be too much of a liability. I may need to look at my body roll issue. i've seen some other 4x4s with suspention lift and 3 inch body lift and they are ok.
They do some good gear but the postage from america is a little steep, shame there isn't a place like that in the uk. |

Oh if you are fitting 35's then you will need it!
Yes indepedant4x have some fantastic stuff, but maybe a local engineering shop could make something out of round bar with holes drilled through? you could buy the bolts to length.
At 3" you would have to do something with the steering though... |

...And the gear levers!
Not to mention the fuel filler.
But anyway go for it. Would like to see a Trooper on 35's! It would be quite a weapon. _________________ Isuzu Trooper SWB 3.0DT Commercial |

35s are very tempting Are the arches even 35" diameter?
I dont mind paying for the kit and postage. With the kit you get a stearing extension thing. I was thinking of lifting the diesel tank with the body, how hard can that be, As for the gear leavers i dont know yet, they will probably just be closer to the floor. |

Defo lift the tank, this will tuck it out of harms way when of roading
I wanted to do this on mine but there is not enough room without a body lift |

Dam you all and this talk of lifting
I was planning on having the monterey as the sensible(ish) car. BUT NO - You've all gone and put the thought of a body lift in my head and thinking about 33" tyres.

I keep thinking of 33" tyres. But they would stuff up the gearing too much for my liking.
I have just bought some 4.55 petrol diffs from a scrappy to bring my gearing back to stock from the 31's
That said the 3.1 with a big FMI may help there |

PRETTTTYYY
How was the plumming? Take it you lost the top mounted one when you put the 3.1 in?
I'm not sure that 33's would effect it [i]that[/] badly. The frontera is on 31's, and although initial pulling away is a little slow, when it's rolling that little 2.0 will leave the trooper for dust... doesn't like hills though _________________ For great insurance deals on 4x4s, imports and more, contact Adrian Flux :
