They are ace, used to have the pcmcia one for work - although be carful on the 'fair use' policy - Once got caught for a £2500 bill one month due to doing speed tests downloading a couple of gentoo iso's (1.8 meg per sec constant ) and streaming internet radion on night shifts... Managed to blag the company though and they picked up the bill - 3 are also doing one at the mo - £10 per month for about a gig iirc... _________________ For great insurance deals on 4x4s, imports and more, contact Adrian Flux :

Seen that new one here about 7 months ago I think. They call it Vodem or Vodam here, can't remember the exact spelling.
Here's the device I use on the laptop:
Uses either GPRS or 3G connection. Cost $199 on a 24 month contract, at a monthly data usage cost of $39 for 200MB. Was on the $49.95 1GB a month, but I'm no longer moving about the place so 1GB is excessive.
THe black thing attached is an antenna - excellent device! If the broadband has *beep* out at home, I can run a cable form the laptop to the main machine if I need to get on-line. _________________ 1996 Mazda B2500 |
