I'm pleased with the light I can put out the front, BUT, I need to do something about the light that comes 'down' through the windscreen from the lights on the roof. I may have to make 6 , what do you call them, eyebrows, upside down. and fit them to each light. Has anyone a source or a pattern to do this?

I've seen someone with kind of an upside down sun visor type affair so imagine a shelf under the lights with a triangle at each end to strengthen it.  That was on the front of a roof rack though.

Sounds about right.  I made a bar to hold all 6 spots, probably a bit too far forward.  Have to have a rumage around to see if
I can find someting that will do it.

I haven't seen any in years but what about a sun visor strip? gotta be easier than making shades for the spots(you can even put your name on  Laughing  Laughing  Laughing )

i don't have that prob as my spots sit on top of the bar and so sit further back
only prob with the lips is that they may hold water which may get into/corrode the light

took ages to do mine (but wanted it done right) not just spliced into headlight wires
2 x 20 amp fused relays (saves on putting an inline fuse in)
30 mtr of 17 amp cable (15 red 15 black)
30 mtr of 5amp cable for angel eye's (they only draw about 3 amp)
3 x on/off/on switches...1 for angel eyes..1 for outer spots...1 for inner spots

wired each pair of spots ( outer pair/inner pair) to seperate switches from a 20 amp relay (1 for each pair) via a live feed from ignition and a live feed from high beem under dash..(that was fun )
1 relay is enough to power all for spots as 4 x 55watt = 220 divided by 12(volt) =18.3 amp draw...but as i want to upgrade
bulbs to 100 watt 1 relay won't be powerfull enough (unless i get a 35/40 amp relay)
angel eye's wired same way but without the relay as like keith says the draw power is next to nothing (about 3 amp)
3 seperate on/off/on swtches so i can have spots/angel eye's on without light's on or have them in stand by possition
to come on when high beem is activated (angel eye's when side lights are on)

took alot of hr's to do and my mates who helped were'nt too happy but when finished they agreed with me as they look so cool

I bought my trooper back in july, bt had problems with the spot lights since.

They were already fitted when I got the car.

I just find that they constantly blow fuses, I'll change the fuse they'll work stationary with the engine running bt fuse seam to blow as soon as i use them when drving (bt only when i switch them back off),  im not sure how well they are wired in because the rest of the wireing the has been done in the car is very much cut and shut, theres joints everywhere, in the wires.

I was going to strip the wireing all out and start again bt Im not sure how/where to fit the relay or the best place
to run the earth to.
its the 4 roof lights im having problems with, theres two in the front grill as well.

there wired in to the battery that is wired to the starter motor (rhs as u look from the front), should they not be on the other 1?

I'd really appreciate any help..

Fit a relay and use the live to your high beam as the trigger Wink You will get spots on side lights though as the troop sends a trace voltage to the high beam on side, Just fit a switch (you have to by law) and if you need side lights just switch spots off Wink

Mine don't come on with the sidelights, they're wired through a relay triggered by the full beam with a wire straight out of the back of the bulb holder. still cant work out why they dont come on with the flash tho Confused
