I have a nice big four channel amp sat up the loft that was going to go in the Chevy, due to the fact that's gonna be a while before it's finished I'm seriously thinking about whacking this in the Trooper.  Anyone out there got an amp in there mk2/3 trooper and if so where did you put it?  I was thinking it may fit under the passenger seat.  Also where have you installed subwoofers?  I will need to upgrade the front speakers to some decent components at the same time though.

I've been thinking about putting an amp and a pair of 8" subs under the read seat in that flappy plastic storage area - take out the plastic thing, and everything out of site.

Would give passengers in the back a shock when the subs were wound up Very Happy

I've got a little 8" sub fitted behind the passenger seat...
...But as mines a Mk4 swb commercial its not a lot of help to you!
Does generally surprise passengers who hear a song they like and wind up the volume.  It's a very tight fit so the bass does vibrate the seat a little!   Twisted Evil

I've also got an RE8 8" sub and a seperate Alpine mono amp to run it from but that will go in the truck.  I'm thinking of amping the fronts and brisging the second pair of  channels for a sub and leaving the rears unamped as rear fill.  I need to dig it out of the loft and measure it and see if it'll fit under the passenger seat.

I just have a removable sub in the boot, two 12" in one box, with the amp screwed onto the back. I have all the plugs connected to quick release plugs so I can just take it out of the car when I need more space in the back (2 min job).

I simply used 4 self tappers and mounted the amp to the back of the rear seats. I've never liked putting amps under seats, they get battered by the kids, or drowned by leaking juice cups and the like. (Or at least they do in my motor  Laughing) .

Having said that I do have very dark tints on the rear windows, making it virtually impossible to see from the outside.

Ooh, thread from the dead. I never did get around to it in the end, amps and sub still up the loft awaiting a finished chevy to fit them in.
