Trooper 3.0 Diesel 1999 and quess what it wont sart?I believe the problem is with the immobiliser. The ecu appers to be fine but I think I need a tech2 machine to check the immobiliser is trhis correct?or is there anything else I can do.Also when you lock the vehicle it opens again itself.is this connected do you think?WILL THE TECH2 MACHINE IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM?I am in Taunton where is the nearest tech 2 machine?

If you lock it and then it unlocks itself this usually indicates that it thinks a door is open - check all your door switches including the boot.
When you say it doesn't start what do you mean? Nothing at all, turn over with no ignition.....
Yes a tech2 should be able to resolve your issues as to your nearest one that will be your nearest Isuzu dealer which if you go to the isuzu.co.uk website shows one in exeter and yeovil but there could be independents nearer try searching for your local agricultural dealer! _________________ 3.0TD LWB Citation |

It sounds to me like your oil pressure sensor - They are a relatively cheap part but do need to be coded into your system to work properly.
As Eithan says if the system thinks there is no oil at the injectors it wont fire _________________ 3.0TD LWB Citation |

This happened on mine and an independent diagnosics bloke was able to code it in without needing to go to main dealer (I believe he also diagnosed the fault) _________________ 3.0TD LWB Citation |

the immobiliser is built in to the ecu and the keys so unless you replace all that and the locks as well theres no way round it, also the system is pretty much bomb proof i've never had an immobilizer problem on a 3.0l yet so i very much doubt it's that. you could pull the white wire in the injector loom plug this will give you an idea if there is oil there and the sensor is faulty. |
