on friday i had been rear and front ended!!! on contacting itoks insurance company who i have been with for around 6 months now i was slightly upset when i informed them regarding this, as the only help i have got from them was to be given a phone number for zenith and told to sort it out myself, i cant fault zenith so far, but i would have expected better treatment from garys lot to be honest,
so this is the story, i woman in a fiesta had stopped her car dead in front of me on a dual carriageway, i was stopped but got pushed into her from the car behind me, so i now have damaged to both ends of the car but the worst being the front as the tow bar took the blow to the vectra and shoved him off to one side, bonnet damaged all the front panels and bumpers, plus radiators at least thats all we can tell for now, but i have a fear that the car will be wrote off due to the garage that are going to assess it as they are known in this area for not liking imported cars and wont even deal with their own imported toyotas!!! they gave my dad the bums rush for daring to turn up for service bits in his surf, any help offered would be great |

yes i agree but it was the way i got given a phone number and told to get on with it as they are only the brokers that got me upset, surely they are menat to handle things for you and get the details at the very least? 2gfs didnt want to know at all |

I'm sure there are two sides to every story
Don't forget, 2GFS are the insurance broker - not the actual insurer!
Your insurance details will contain all sorts of helpful stuff, including what to do / who to call in the event of a claim.
If I'm honest - I find it hard to believe that you were simply 'passed off' by 2GFS - one of the things that 2GFS have consistently maintained, for as long as I've known them, is excellent 'face to face' customer service!

No - the claims handlers for the insurer (not the broker) do that.
It'll be interesting to hear how this pans out

when i called and asked for gary i got told he was on the phone, and then informed them i had been involved in an accident, they asked for my name and then just simply gave me zeniths number to call, i cant complain at the way zenith have been over this but was a little disapointed with 2gfs |

As pointed out they are brokers - not insurers - Zenith will have a dedicated claims specialist for you to chat to and they will be able to do all the stuff ...
this is why 2GFS can offer cheaper insurance - they do not have the overheads of an insurance company - TBH getting the right phone number is a shock be thank full for that
cheers

Unless I've mis-read your remark, that's a bit unfair Steve!
2GFS don't sell sub-standard insurance.
ALL motor insurance that they (as a broker) sell will come with an 'insurance pack' from the insurer - that WILL include everything you need to know, including who to contact in the event of a claim.
With any luck, you've employed a (free) accident management service

well i wasnt saying anything as such wrong about the insurance, it was that well you would expect a "are you ok?" at least and all i got was ok heres the number for you to call and get on with it, thats what i was commenting about really, i would have thought seeing as it was 2gfs i paid my money too that they would have at least done a little bit of sympathy even if it was fake!!! |
