Thames Valley 4x4 Club are hosting a pay and play day in a disused quary near Banbury. It is a challenging site but much can be done on road tyres without damage. If you want a challenge though you will find it.
Have a look at www.tv4x4.co.uk you will find all the details, maps, costs and directions and previous piccies of events in the past. Hope to see you there.

Hi Paul,

Should be there with my now working 4 wheel drive truck. Sorted the freewheeling hubs (thanks for the advice!) and now have brakes that stop me within a mile. Laughing

You should recognise it - blue and black with bits of mud!

Look forward to seeing you.

Keith

Hi Kieth, look forward to seeing you, should be a good day. When you arrive and book in at the HQ trailer and if I am not around make yourself know to the lady in the trailer (my wife) and she will put a call out.

Hi there, good for you Tomcat, not seen a Bighorn at Avon Dassett, we've seen plenty of Surfs and they always do well. You're not going to be outdone now are you. Yesterday I was upsetting some SJ Suzukis by out doing them on trial sections. So come on down, fly the Isuzu Flag. Wink

Now there's a thought. One of the customers I deliver to is a flag maker.
Who knows what an Isuzu flag looks like, or even a ITOC(UK) flag come to that.

Paul,
Whats the score on the overnight camping on Saturday night.
I'm thinking tent, portable BBQ, couple of cans of beer (and I do mean a couple !) a nice evening of 4x4 chat and then play in the mud all day sunday !
Sounds like the perfect weekend to me Laughing

Thanks for letting everyone know about this event. I can personally say that it was of the best days out I've had since I got the Trooper. Nick is now talking about selling his car and getting a 4x4!! Very Happy .

I've got unused web space so I'll see if I can sort it out so I can put the various photos and videos on it 'cos I haven't quite worked out how to do it here yet.

Warning to all!! Troopers do not float in 4 feet of water!! Confused

Hi there, I have seen a Diahastsu 4 Track floating. He went into this hole, front end first that's where the weight is, he had a snorkle so so far so good. The water is now upto the bottom of the windscreen the rear went in and yes you guessed right it floated. He would have been ok if he had paddles on his rear wheels but with no traction he was b#ggered . Still we all had a good laugh when he had to put the rope on the front. Best part of it was he had been told NOT to go in there. I'm sorry you weren't told not go where you did Keith, has it dried out yet? Confused
