2001 saxo 1100cc mpi. Won't start from cold! Has had,a crank sensor,coolant temp sensor,map sensor,idle control valve/stepper motor,spark plugs,fuel filter and clean fuel. Symptoms: will crank for england but won't fire from cold,no check engine light on,no fault codes present. Will start and ldle if you spray carb cleaner into or cover the inlet so it chokes the engine but if you try and rev it before it's warm it dies! Drives fine when it's warmed up.
Already tried/checked: All of the above components,compression check, fuel pressure,Cam timing,injector cycle,spark at plugs,(getting damp),basically everything that I can think of has been done.
ANY IDEAS/COMMENTS?? |

I'm no expert but dont they have a cold start system (like a choke) that delivers extra fuel when its cold altering the fuel/air mix ?

Nope it's controlled by the ecu that get's it's signal from the coolant temp sensor. |

That is what I meant, the ecu tells the sytem to deliver more fuel changing the fuel /air mix.

SORTED!!  It was the coil pack which although giving a spark it obviously wasn't strong enough!! |
