Hello All

I have to say I am new to all of this off roading, I have an 07 rodeo new shape and Now i have some spare cash I am looking to starting prepareing or off road use form original spec, as I am planning to visit Morocco next year in it for a few weeks, what would people reccomend doing to it and where is best place to get parts from or get bits done, I am looking at new tyres soon as i have done 50,000 on the originals and they will need changing soon, would people reccomend suspension changes if so what? I have read a few threads on here about adjusting torsion bars how easy is that done as it first time i have come accross them, As only lowered other cars. I am hoping to do most stuff myself as it will be me having to fix it if it goes wrong.

Andy

My advice would be speak to a company that specialises in overland preparation like TBR UK , personally I'd go for some Old Man Emu shocks and springs and BFG tyres

Like the others say, try tbruk, excellent service, they also reply to emails pretty quick as well if you dont have time to phone them. They are closed until the 5th Jan.

The front torsion crank is pretty easy and straight forward, you cant really get it wrong, there is loads of info about this on this site and others. If you pretty good working on cars, you should not have a problem with 4x4, you may need some bigger tools half inch socket set, HD axle stands, HD jack, etc.

As well as this forum another good site for rodeos is planetisuzoo -  http://forum.planetisuzoo.com/index.php?sid=5d7d77e056774ae105e93ceb38315cb7

The Rodeo is very similar to the Trooper on the front end - a 2" lift is easily done with a torsion bar crank, the back end is longer shackles (£60 ish from LA Supertrux) or a change of springs.  (not that I have looked into it  Laughing )
