Hi,

first time here, hello all!

I found the site through looking for an answer to what should be a simple question... how do you get the spare wheel to drop?

The manual isn't overly clear, I found some pics from a Chevvy site which shows a cover on the rear bumper which is removed, crank rod for the jack inserted, wind the wheel down... Great, found the cover on my bumper, removed it... the port is blanked off with what looks like an unused plastic housing. Nothing but solid metal behind it anyway when looked at from underneath. So that goes nowhere.

Also, on the underside of the vehicle, right underneath the tailgate are a couple of strangely placed lights. What are they for and how do you switch them on? Or are they unused?

Should say, it's a 2005 Rodeo 3L, UK vehicle. Second year of owning it and soooo much nicer than the L200 I had before that.

Cheers,

Stuart

Yes. AFAIK it's been there since new and is an Isuzu one.

you should be able to remove a cover and put the rod straight through the bumper if it sounds as though they haven't drilled the hole out. it should be just on the left of the no plate and it's normally just plastic behind the cover

if you can not get the rod in to the wheel winch it sounds like the selling dealer forgot to modife the rear pannel the same happened to mine ,if you look under the back ,look up at the metal number plate plate on the rear panel if it has not been cut away on the left side behind the hole in the bumper ,you will have to take the bumper off and cut it out
