while towing my caravan, the small 4x4 dashboard light came on. i had used 4L and first gear to remove the caravan from its pitch but had disengauged four wheel drive succesfully prior to leaving the caravan park. although the light has come on its still in 2 wheel drive. i have done what manual suggests but no joy, its still on.
any ideas greatly recieved

I don't know if this will work on a trooper but I have used it on other vehicles. Go back into 4x4 and reverse for about 10 yards. Re-engage 2 wheel drive and see if the light goes out. If not I can only imagine it is some kind of sticky connection because we don't regularly go from 2 to 4 wheel drive. Get busy with the WD40!
