Hi anyone know how to change the rear view mirrors on probably most older bikes, this one is a 89 I have bought new mirrors with stems but the male part on the old mirror seems to be fused into the alloy mount on handle bar, I have tried stilsons but no good afraid the mounting will snap parts difficult to get for a grey import any suggestions welcome

Hi. Does it have the Allen key slots in the base? Most older ones do instead of just screwing in. If not then it's a case of covering it in wd or similar and leaving it over night. Possibly for a few nights soaking it each time. The trouble is if it's the original mirrors they're probably well and truly stuck and getting them out without breaking the bars is gonna be a miracle. Good luck with it though

Hi. We've only had ours a short time. Weeks lol. Had to change the rad and now having trans fluid issues. Hoping to sort that today. I'm not sure of the difference really. There doesn't seem to be much in all honesty. I love it though. Awesome bit of kit lol
