Ok, some pics to compare yours to......











First time I've ever taken the soundproofing off, and yes it is reinforced around the aperture. I'm sure it would be possible to replicate it if you wanted to.

As you can see, the aperture is off centre, but the actual scoop on top of the bonnet is larger than the aperture, and sits centrally on the bonnet. You can see the mounting bolts for the scoop.

Thanks Twister!

I will have to take another look at mine in a day or two.  We are getting a major snow storm right now up to 18inches of snow!

Does moisture get in when it rains or snows?

It will when you are driving but not generally when sat as theres a small lip outside and the open end is down the slope of the hood.

ok thank you.. Having the hardest time finding one that companies are willing to ship to the USA. Anyone have any more ideas on where to look, what websites too look at?
