I have not done much car maintenance for years and never to a diesel.
I am thinking of changing the oil, oil filters, fuel filter and air filter on my 3.0 Trooper.

I have basic tools and would have to do this work on my drive.
Any comments /recomendations welcome.

thanks

Find a large cardboard box, open it up and spread under truck. Doesn't matter how careful you are, unless your really lucky it will drip oil on your drive.
I done mine for the first time and found it fairly easy, you will need to remove the armered plates underside to get at the oil filters.
make sure you use 5/30 fully syn oil and nothing else.
Good luck mate Wink

The main oil filter is on the offside of the engine above the chasis. The secondary filter is on the nearside again above the chasis (took me a while to find mine). Its mounted upside down so there is no way of getting it off without a mess and its a tad awkward to get at.
without teaching you to suck eggs, dont forget to check the sealing rubber has come off with the old filter (there has been a few cases posted on here where the old seal has stuck to the engine block) and clean the mating surface on the engine block as best you can befor fitting new filter.
other than that its straight forward but as X66DAG advises, put someting on your drive befor you start.
