brittle paint

I have an isuzu 3.1td. Ubs69 lotus on a l-reg.

Basically where it has got the odd ding on  the paint flakes off due to it being brittle.

As I can't afford a respray of the wing, so I have some touch up paint, but I won't be able to get
around to touching it up to next weekend.

Is there anything I need to do to protect the body work from rust  
or will it be ok until I can get around to touching up?
