I am trying to fit a SONY CDX-R3300 in my 95 Trooper. I have taken out the old unit which is a PIONEER DEH-670. The old unit had a mounting assembly attached that secured the unit with 4 screws.

On my new SONY unit there is no way I can attach the mounting assemby, there is just nowhere to screw it to on the body of the unit.

Any Ideas? Question

you sure theres nowhere to screw in? Nearly all units have holes in the side for chassis mounting. They wont be threaded, did you buy it new? Did it have some screws in the box? Take the bracket off the old one and rest it in the same position on the new one and just see if any of the holes line up, they should do/

Cheers Mart, I had already looked at the mount that was on the old unit but deemed that it would not fit.

After seeing your post I decided to have another look and by george it fitted, well....after a little gentle persuasion on my part.
