Collegue at work with her shiny old 2001 Mk.IV 3.0 thought her turbo had gone as it had major over-run and thought the engine had cooked itself. Took it to a local garage and they said the turbo was goosed. They had no time to do anything for a couple of days and advised her to get a replacement turbo which she did and was aiming to hand it over the next weekend. Anyways she was talking to another collegue who asked me to have a chat with her about it. After she described what had happened I told her to tell the garage to not touch it, get in contact with IM and Haddocks (her nearest dealership) and get the status of the recall work done. She had a FSH which didn't show anything up and the dealership confirmed it. Got her truck picked up from the garage, replaced the turbo for free as there was diesel in the oil which lead to the over run, and had all the necessary recal work done and diagnosed a failed ORPS. In all it cost her about £250 for the ORPS and tech 2 work, and took a couple of weeks to fix from failure to keys in hand. Now the truck runs better than before and even regained all its lost power and mpg.

In short I can highly recommend Haddocks of Colchester.
