well finally after 2 years i got my cig lighter socket working today it was the socket itself on the back theres some sort of fuse that had burnt out right were the live cable connects so now i can charge my phone up etc when away for long weekends fishing etc how come theres no mention of it and why didnt the normal fuse its running on blow first when my tyre inflater threw its hand in

What year's yours? I've got the same prob & have tried a new replacemen t with still no joy. Couldn't see a fuse. Is it built into the socket or wired in-line to the live?

My 2.8 Trooper ciggy lighter has a fuse in the box under the bonnet.
Changed that and it worked fine.

My fuse is fine, think I've got an open circuit between it & the lighter Crying or Very sad

Will have to run a new feed I guess
