I have a 52 reg Citation which I bought nearly new (4 weeks old) from Holdcrofts when they were in Newcastle.

It has a full service History and has done about 80000 miles.  Thousands have been spent on the car in terms of servicing maintenance and repair.

It went into Holdcrofts for the recall work in June 2009 and that cost us £1900 (for other jobs indicated by the diagnostic software) although the injector work was done for free.

Recently we have had poor starting problems where it takes longer and longer to start each morning and once started it will not tickover unless you keep revvving it until it is warned up.

My local garage advice --sell it .  I phoned IM they said Holdcrofts would check the injector codes for free and do a diagnostic for free.

I phoned Holdcrofts today who said they would not check the injector codes as the computer says all the recall work has been done and a diagnostic will cost me £80 plus vat.

So where do I go from here.

Any ideas on the problem.

Go back to IM and ask for some help with the locals as you are not getting the level of service you expected .

Its not up to Holdcrofts its IM's database that will hold the recall/check details on your car , but its not allways that easy I do agree .

The fault is likley to be the oil or the rops sensor , do you know what oil was put in at the last service ?
