Is this the same for the Isuzu

Vauxhall Monterey Throttle Sensor Recall

Recall Summary

There could be an unintentional increase in engine speed.

Recall Issue

It is possible that on some Vauxhall Montereys the internal contact resistance of the crimped joints for the grounding between the throttle position sensor (TPS) and engine control module may increase due to engine vibration. This can lead to an increased TPS voltage output, which could lead to an increase in engine revolutions whilst at idle, without any throttle input.

Vauxhall are recalling all affected vehicles for the installation of a new wiring harness.

Vauxhall Montereys Affected By This Recall

Only 5 Vauxhall Montereys made between September 1998 and March 1999 are affected by this recall.

The affected VIN numbers are in the range - W7100006 to X7104612.

What Should Vauxhall Monterey Owners Do?

If you have, or believe you may have, one of the affected Vauxhall Montereys then please contact your local dealer.

Recall Launched

November 2011.

It is interesting as it could affect Troopers made in the same run.
