Gents, I have a 95 mk 2 bighorn auto 3.1td.

when laning then getting back on to normal roads I am stopping to put it back in 2wd hi from 4wd hi.

can I do this on the move? and if so whats the correct procedure as I don't want to break it. many thanks  Very Happy

Look on the VIN plate on the bulkhead under the bonnet...

You're looking for code 7EX, that's shift on the fly.

Search for VIN codes, or option codes on this forum too

thanks, its got the manual locking hubs. its more a question of what speed I can shift the transfer box?

You can shift from 4 hi to 2 hi while moving up to about 30mph ish no matter what hubs you have but to unlock auto hubs you need to reverse at some point you only need to stop to change from 4hi to 4 low. I have manual hubs and leave them locked in winter so i can shift between 4 and 2 hi as needed without stopping.

Do you have auto hubs ?? on your 3.0 or was it a previous truck ??
