Hi everyone ,I have a 3.0 trooper 4jx1
Having problems with cooling system/overheating - have had a sniff test done twice !!-nothing showing there so not head
not losing water anywhere ,just getting v hot especially going uphills and over also 55 mph ,as soon as back on flat temp goes back to half way
have just made a round trip journey of 260 miles in 30 degree heat with heater on full blast to keep temp down
has had new water pump ,had all coolant replaced before journey , can anyone tell me what the resistance should be on the thermostat sensor if I test that as trying to rule things out (is there 1 or 2??) , after that it will be radiator,my trooper has a single wall on not double ,have been dreading checking that as will be expensive |

Run it without the thermostat for a bit, if the problem still persists, it could be a blocked thermostat or radiator or air lock, water pump, etc... |

change the rad it should have a double row in it as the single were prone for blocking up. |
