Hi all i have a 2000 reg trooper 3.0 td and i have just replaced the head gasket because it was blowing coolant out of the top of the radiator( had the head skimmed ), and its still blowing out of the top of the radiator. Is this an air lock ? Or is it a carcked head or piston liner ? Any help would be gratefully recieved. Thanks for reading.

could be the injector sleeve seals leaking, quite common and will make the rad overflow in to the expansion tank and fill that as well as it fills the cooling system with diesel

Hi thanks for reply. When the air is building up the hoses go hard then the radiator cap open and it blows out the air like when you open a bottle of fizzy pop.

ok thats not sleeve seals that does sound like combustion pressure as these engines bleed through quite easy, might pay to get a sniff test done and see if it's exhaust gas or not

Are the 3.0 engines any better in the last of the troopers than the earlier ones? Thanks
