Getting the rubber roof trim off

I want to get the roof trim up to get to the mounting points underneath. Is there a trick to lifting the strip and do you need to take the rear end caps off or do they stay on?

They stay on , the trim should just pop up with help of a screw driver and the mounts are covers by tape
