|
|
Hi everyone.
2008 rodeo 2.5, 92k on the clock.
When idling (traffic lights, hitching trailer etc) completely randomly the revs drop, it recovers a little then stalls. Fires up again no problem.
I thought it may have been a bit of poor fuel as I've read they don't like it but I've since ran two tanks of premium diesel and its not changed.
There's no obvious pattern. Hot or cold. Totally random
IT must be fuel related but it's not throwing an EML.
HELP!? |

Oh another reason I suspected the fuel, the water in fuel light came on for a short.time after that fill. It's just been serviced but I drained it.again. |

Change the filter .. cannot hurt and might resolve the issue. Could be clogged .. I would be tempted to fill the tank .. run it almost dry and then fill with non-supermarket like Shell V-power if you can afford it and then change the filter. Doing that will hopefully eliminate a bad dose of fuel, clogged fuel filter, and the additives and cleaners in the V-Power will hopefully clean the lines etc. _________________ 1990 Isuzu Bighorn LWB Mk.I 2.8TD Manual Lotus Edition
