Hi, can anyone offer advice. or know wher I can take my trooper to get it sorted.
I have an Import Irmsher 3.1 deisel 1998. It has done 50,000 miles.It is chucking black smoke out of the exhaust, is giving poor economy along with poor performance. I have contacted local isuzu dealers and so called deisel specialists, they say as this vehicle has an electronic fuel pump they cannot help.
A local desiel engine mechanic has had a look for me. He has checked the turbo is getting up to pressure, has cleaned the injectors and checked the fuel pump timing. Is now scratching his head.
has anybody any idea what the problem could be or where I could find a mechanic with the diagnostic equipment to test this vehicle.

You don't say what part of Hampshire. If you are within reach of Portsmouth try Powerdrive 023 9265 0404. they sorted my old MK1 trooper out. RAC recommended them.
Usual not connected to them.
If no good contact me with full problem and I'll speak to my main dealer mate.
