Hi, my Trooper has a red TOD flashing light. The green lights are ok. Error code 33 - not present axle disconnect output low input. Also had a code 32 - not present - axle disconnect output open Circuit. Code 32 now gone. Could probably be due to many Things in TOD system.
Discovered that oil were missing in all diffs, front actuator and that the transfer Box was filled With engine or trans oil. Changed to Dexron atf3.
Noticed from Tech2 check, TOD, data display that: shift pattern - transfer low. It was actually in high. I suspect that the 4wd switch is faulty due to thick oil. Also the check lamp makes it go into limp mode(I think, feels like when going around 80kmph it starts shaking or misfiring or ecu cuts out fuel maybe. Below that speed limit it runs ok.
So my question is where the 4wd switch mounted on the transfer Box is located?( maybe under and at the rear of the Box near the drain plug?) From Trooper manual/Jeepolog it seems this switch is the same as the one on the front axle and can be cleaned , if I only could find it.
