Hi,
I've been a very happy Rodeo owner for last 4 years and I'm trying to make sure it will stay this way for many more years. I use my truck for both motorway and off road, I'm self employed tree surgeon and work takes me to remote woodland places as well as requires towing chippers, trailers on roads.
Truck has 169000 miles and I think I'm still on original suspension, it starts to feel a bit "soft", so I decided it's time to replace it. I'm not massively mechanically experienced but my uncle is a retired car mechanic. My plan is to drive Isuzu to Poland, where I'm originally from and spend holidays doing some jobs on my pick up. It's not a very popular vehicle there, so I need to get all the parts in UK.
My question is: what do I need to replace the whole suspension? Are there any kits that are better than others, any to stay away from? Also is it worth lifting it or will new standard suspension be enough? I often end up "ploughing" with the tow bar. What else would you recommend to do maintenancewise? I waxoiled underneath last year .
Any advice on the subject would be appreciated .

Hi. I didn't have Rodeo that long, and it's my first pick up truck. What made difference for me is greaseable polybush rear shackles. Original ones were naked. New bushes from dealer were undersized for some reason so used ones from milliners.
My truck done only 80k, and had an easy life. But at 169k, front arm bushes i guess will be need doing. |
