US 93 Trooper Help with Transmission problem

I recently (approx. 1.5 months ) perchaced a 93 Isuzu Trooper , 3.2L engine and an automatic tranny. It had about 79 K miles on it at the time. For the past 2 weeks the check trans light has been flashing and I took it to a garage that said it needs to be rebuilt. My question is can I convert my troopers transmission from an automatic to a manual? Is it cheap and are the parts available online. By the way I am in the USA . I am asking since I cant find anything on my own. Thanks Very Happy

As you are in the US, try this site. I'm sure they have dealt with this issue and the info will be in their archive. www.4x4wire.com/forums and look up Isuzu Forums.
