Have a '94 ish Bighorn with the ubiquitous sticking electric aerial. Read all the helpful posts about sorting electric aerials.....not to confident in own ability taking components with small parts apart. so have purchased flexible "rubber duck" type aerial from halfords (£10). Anyone come across any probs I should know prior to fitting this.....not the best DIY-er in the world. Anyone any tips/hints/pros & cons?
Thanks

yes m8 , if your aerial is in good con eg not bent then wipe some 3 in 1 oil on to it with a rag and operate it a few times to see if that works.

How did the aerial work out for you?

I'm thinking of changing my aerial to a small rubber one.  did it fit ok for you?  Anything I should know about the right fitting etc...

The hole for the aerial isa weird size, does the new aerial fitting supply a piece that covers that entirely?

Thanks

If your really gonna change the antenna, I would leave the electric unit on and keep that one retracted. looks tidy left like that.

Buy an internal window antenna with the amp £10, fit at top of windscreen,
easy job, great reception. Smile
