|

My 94 3.1 Big Horn loses overdrive when warm.
This happened a coule of months ago and it appeared to be the throttle position sensor.
With it disconnected, overdrive worked fine, but I lost kickdown.
I replaced it with one from a scrappy (Isuzu wont sell them without a complete throttle body) and the car worked better than ever.
A couple of days ago it happened again.
It only happens when it is warm. When cold, it goes into overdrive no problem.
When I short the pins for the fault codes, it flashes 21 (TPS) and 24 (VSS) but I have a feeling that this is from the earlier fault. Is there any way of deleting the stored codes so that I can obtain a new fault report? |

The plug is the little green 3 pin one behind the side cover of the centre console. To display the fault codes on the check trans light, you have to short pins A and C. When you turn the ignition on, this then flashes the fault codes on the check trans light.
What I need to know is how to clear the stored codes so that I can be sure I am not looking at previously reported faults. |

OK I suppose I'll have to give it a go. I just wondered if there was another way as my CD player is a pain to re-programme.
I'll let you know what happens.
Thanks,
