from what i can tell from previous posts is that the tdi's use an IHI turbo. would this mean that a subaru turbo (also IHI) could be used to increase power/tourque? the link  http://www.ihi-turbo.com/turbo_RHE-RHF.htm shows the the rhf 55 are suitable for a 3l diesel or a 2l gasoline engine. In NZ there are several subaru turbos available 2nd hand at reasonable prices therefore was woundering if using one of these would be a cheap upgrade combined with a 3" exhaust and front mount intercooler.
