Hi guys

I am due to pick my suzi trooper up on saturday.  So right at this moment i am  not overly worried about servicing etc as that will all be done.  However for future reference i need to know

1.  How many services will my trooper need per year
2.  What is involved in a service
3.  How many filters in the diesel engine will be changed per service
4.  As my trooper is an DOHC how many cambelts does it have and how long and how much should this cost
5.  Diesels are new to me, so are the glow plugs the diesel equivalent of a spark plug or do diesels have both

Forgive me for asking so many daft/stupid questions but a girl has to know these things, not that i intend on getting my lovely delicate hands dirty, but so i know how to crack the whip at my mechanic. lol

No spark plugs, the heat of the pressurised air ignites the diesel when it is injected into the cylinder.

I think the service interval for the 3.0 is 6,000 miles (or a year), but don't take my word for it.

Wait for someone with knowledge of the engine for the filter info.

Hello mate:

With ref to ur message:

The service intervals r every 6,000 miles or every 12 months which ever comes first.

The filters: each service the primary oil filter will be changed. But if you look in your service/warranty book there is a service checklist in there.

1, normally one per year or every 6,000 mls what ever is sooner

2, depends on what service it needs

3, one main oil filter every service and a second oil filter every 24,000 mls

4, only 1 cambelt

5, as matski said in earlier post
