Hi ive had my isuzu bighorn 3.1d for three months now and everything seems fine so far . its done 79000 miles. Im making a decision to bring it into the uk (as im in new zealand at the mo ) but im a bit concerned about the posts regarding diesels eg unreliable , expensive to run , expensive parts servicing etc . Should i sell it here and be rid of it even though i like the motor alot or should i risk bringing it back for financial ruin?
Cheers

I would sell it there and get another one here, unless you bought it so cheap that it is financialy worth it. Do not worry about reliability etc, these are international forums that only people with problems contact so you are bound to get a jaded viewpoint. These things are incredibly reliable, but no car is perfect. However, my 2.8 Td has done 165,000 miles and does 60 mile a day motorway runs every day on the M25 and is fantastic.
Look at any Land Rover forum and you will get an idea of what unreliable means! |
