DO NOT waste your time... When the chips are down and you need them to perform they are utter rubbish.

My trooper rolled into a lampost outside home in Jan (don't go there!!!) Damage, from outside, was headlamp pointing down, creased wing and dented bumper. I took it in to be assessed two days later and was told it would be sorted in two weeks. As I use it for work (bathroom installs) i just carried on working. Come March (8 wks later...) its new tax time. went to tax it and I'd forgotten to get it MOTd. Oh poo I couldn't as it wouldn't pass with the lamp pointing down. Get on to LV. "Not our problem speak to garage" Speak to garage. Start to get shirty (but NEVER abusive etc) say to woman, "Sorry I know its not YOU but you are teh only one I can have a go at" Her reply, "I don't have to take this shlt" and she slammed the phone down... Customer service with a grimace heh!

Then spent over 7 hrs on phone to LV (expensive 0870 numbers) to 9 different people getting cut off twice and explaining the whole saga to each and every one... They wanted me to have a Corsa courtesy car to run my business so next day it took a further 2.5 hours to 4 people to get them to agree to a hire car so I could pay more to upgrade it to a van. Wrote to them warning I was going away on holiday and not to send me anything. Got back to find they had written to me to tell me it was now written off and offereing me a value. Next day got a call from car hire co telling me hire had been terminated. They had just ignored letter completely. Tried to call but they go home at 3:30 on a friday... They then would not believe I had not received cheque or paperwork (V5). Oh I had to send keys, V5, service history the lot BEFORE they would even consider giving a value. Still not received cheque but instisting hire car must go back tomorrow regardless.

All in all a TOTAL and UTTER crock of SH*T

I SOOO hope that this saves someones backside as mine has been well and truly scorched.

David

PS: Car hire company recommend NFU as a real person deals with you from local office. Guess where I'm headed with every single piece of insurance for the home, business and cars?
