I recently got a 92 3.1D bighorn I had no problems [ so far ] I changed the oil and filter [ for some good quality stuff ] I unscrewed the filter off but could'nt get it out between the ironwork from underneath I had to bash it out with a mallet! and bash the new filter fom underneath with brute force then screw it in place as normal Am I missing the obvious? or just thick I got away with a bashed filter [ seal was ok ] but there must be an easy way? Many thanks Bryan

Hi coyletangles.
yes they could have made this area a little easier but with a little balancing act you can unscrew the filter and work it upwards and over between the exhaust and the chassis it just fits but the work of art is to not get hot oil down your sleeve when lowering it through to the ground. hope this might shed a bit of light
