In the near future I’m going to replace the chassis rear cross member.
I will be taking off the petrol tank at this time and want to replace the corroded fuel pipes.
I don’t think it needs replacing all the way to the front, its just at the back.
My question is where do I get new pipe and connections from, I want to have everything I need for the job before I start.
Can I use fuel pipe from Halfords with jubilee clips or dose it have to be steel/copper.
Also what size ID pipe
What would be nice is, if someone would post a list of materials I need to do the job, ie pipe, size and length; any special connectors and anything Iv not mentioned already.

id use rubber all the way up the car and steel off the tank
you could use 10mm microbore, but youll find the gypsies would have had it removed by the morning! |

My dad has just replaced his with truck air line pipe , it even said on the speck sheet , suitable for diesel use , there's 2 different diameters though but the whole lot came to about £15 |

I did my Chevy in copper fuel pipe from a company called Automec, dead easy to bend and lasts forever. Just use rubber to connect it in. _________________ Phil

They sold the air line pipe in loads of sizes , I think the fuel feed is 8mm , and the return and breather are 6mm |
