hi m8

you CANT get to the oil filter from above you will never see it

you must lay under the car under the drivers front wheel

just behind it undr the steps

if you look up to where the turbo is you WILL see the oil filter

if the case is its fell off then you will see the screw housing and the silver return pipe from the turbo itself

if the oil filter HAS dropped off there will be a shed load of oil and it will be black

if its red oil you have under the car its transmission fluid

not sure if there is a filter for the trans

DO NOT start the engine until its topped up correct or you will seize it up

when topped up crank her over if it drops lots of oil turn it off immediately

RAC recovered it to local garage. Definately engine oil. Leaking from perished connecting hose near oil filter (which I can see now its raised 6 feet on the ramp).

Garage going to replace hose + new oil filter and oil change...

All is well with the world again!

Good stuff Very Happy

the only pipes I can think of that would have oil in near the oil cooler would be the turbo feed and return, but these are metal?

That's metal, by perished I am guessing he means a rubber pipe???

But then there are no rubber oil pipes as far as I know?

Hi guys, my trooper has a few quirky mods.... maybe this is one of them?

The ignition has been routed to a button to start up, key works for ignition, plugs etc.....?

Hopefully garage will save the "hose" in question... steel braided?

the oil return to sump is steel

the vac pump hose is braided rubber

the likely hose is the alternator vac pump one, without seeing it i cant really tell.

Hope its sorted for the new year m8
