Been lurking while deciding to buy a 2002 duty, but...

Don't know if you are aware about NFU Mutual Insurance (http://www.nfumutual.co.uk/you/4x4-insurance/car/). Basically if you are rural at any rate, they appear to abandon the standard insurance bandings and milage. Essentally now I'm £100 better off than I was for a Mazda 626 diesel. Laughing

I've gone with NFU this time, a good price lower excess and you talk to someone local who understands what you are saying, not some call centre overseas!!

NFU restored my faith in car insurance companies after being screwed over by Norwich Union Direct again and again, therapy has cured the twitch, twitch.....  I am a 40 yr old owner of a V6 petrol Citation with 0 NCB (company cars) and NFU gave me full NCB and all the other extra cover that is standard with their policy for £230.  Beat the clubs insurer hands down, even they were impressed with the quote.  Have been recommending NFU ever since.

Hopefully the savings will pay for the imminent MOT.

As I've put on the other post - the only issue I've found with NFU is them wanting to see a mechanics report for modifications... Adrian Flux just wanted a modifications report filling in.
