If any one can help i would most gratefull. when decelerating over about 50 mph the engine check light comes on, throttle response is lost but the engine does not cut out. Turn the ignition off and restart problem disappears untill same situation as above occurs.
Have tried numerous auto-electricians and recently main dealer, neither can access the information and fault codes from the ECU.
The vehicle concerned is a 96 3.1 Bighorn manual with Lotus handling.
If anyone knows of a technician who may be able to help am willing to travel.

I would say that this sounds like an electo-mechanical problem with the fuel pump,causing fuel starvation. . I dont know what area you are in but a fuel pump specialist would certainly be my first port of call.

50 MPH?? Sounds like you may need Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock to have a look ;o)
